Stromboli

Stromboli hot out of the oven. 














Stromboli is the Italian version of Britain's Pasty. Dough filled with meat and cheese then rolled into a pastry sandwich. This is great for Super Bowl Sunday snacking.


Recipe makes 4  servings

Ingredients

                    1 (10 ounce) package pizza crust dough
                    1/2 pound mild pork sausage (4 links removed casing and broken up into small pieces)
                    8 slices Pepperoni
                    8 slices Salami
                    1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
                    1/4 cup butter, melted
                    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
                    Garlic power
                    Oregano
                    Basil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Roll out pizza dough flat on cookie sheet, about 10x14 rectangle. Drizzle a little marinara sauce on dough, layout pepperoni, salami and sausage evenly over the dough in layers. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over meats, along with garlic, oregano, and basil. Grab edges of dough and fold over and pinch ends and sides together. Brush some melted butter on top and place in oven


Cook for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Slice up into individual sections and serve with a finger bowl filled with marinara sauce. YUMMMMMY
