Cooking Tip: Cook Once, Make More Cookies

Cooking Tip: Cook Once, Make More Cookies

Have you ever made cookies for the holidays, but hated the prep time, or the mess? Next time you make those homemade cookies for the kids, work, or special occasion, why not make a double or triple batch of dough.  While your first batch is in the oven cooking, take the double or triple batch dough and lay it out on a cookie sheet, stick it in the freezer for 20 minutes to set and harden. When you take it out, place the dough into ziploc freezer bags and label them, then store in the freezer for up to 3 months. This will save you time and energy the next time you decide to make cookies. You can even store the dough to make smaller batches for those nights you just need a cookie fix with a cup of hot coffee or tea.
