Hungarian Home Fries

Hungarian Homefries

This is my all time favorite homefries as a side dish to scrabbled eggs smothered in country saugage gravy. I'll post out the sausage gravy recipe next week, but today we will share the homefries recipe with everyone.

Ingredients

4 medium potatoes peeled, split and sliced semi into thin pieces.
1/2 an onion minced
1 stick of butter
3 tablespoons of paprika
1/2 tablespoons season salt
Dash of Accent
1-1/2 cup water

In a skillet melt butter and place minced onions into butter to sweat, then add potatoes cover it with season salt andn paprika and saute for 3 minutes. Then add water and bring to a boil as if you are cooking to make mashed potatoes, but you're not going to mash anything, you're just making sure the potatoes are completely cooked through. If necessary add more paprika to taste and add the dash of accent over top, stir and let sit for a few minutes while you make the rest of your breakfast items. It's as simple as that. Enjoy
