Pork Ribs for one

Pork Ribs

Pork Ribs are easy to make and can be seasoned in a variety of ways. My favorite is by using Liquid Smoke and Worcestershire sauce and cooking in a crockpot. Since I own a small one serving type crockpot, it’s easy to cook just enough for one or maybe two meals. This not only saves money, but also electricity in cooking the ribs.

Ingredients

½ pound country-style boneless pork ribs, or ribs with bone in - one slab

salt and pepper to taste - or seasoning of choice

¼ cup of Liquid Smoke

2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon BBQ sauce (Optional)

Instructions

Trim one slab (about  ½ lbs.) of country-style ribs of fat cap and any silver skin.

Deepen the cuts to a little over half the thickness of the slab. Brine if you wish.

Before seasoning, dry well with a paper towel—use the seasoning of your choice or a sprinkle of salt and pepper or an all-purpose seasoning.

Since I use a crockpot, I prepare the crockpot and place the ribs in the pot, sprinkle with salt and pepper, liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce. Then Turn it on med heat and cook for about four hours. If you are in a rush, cook on high for 3 hours checking at one hour, and add ½ of water.

Remove from crock when falling off the bone status and serve with kraut, potatoes, and veggies. You can cover it with warmed BBQ sauce if desired.
