There is nothing more that I love when it comes to a burger,
than a burger smothered with caramelized onion and mushrooms covered in melting
Swiss Cheese on a Brioche Bun. Talk about the perfect barbeque experience. YUM!
In just 35 minutes, you can be enjoying
the best burger you’ve ever had in your life. Try it and tell me it’s not the
best you’ve ever had. Perfect for parties or a delightful family dinner!
4 servings
Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef - I recommend an
80/20 mix
2 tablespoons of burger seasoning
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1-pound white mushrooms - sliced
1 small, sweet onion – sliced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
pinch salt - to taste
pinch pepper - to taste
4 slices Swiss cheese - or cheese of
your choice
4 brioche buns - or buns of your choice
Instructions
Preheat the grill over medium heat. Form hamburger into four
even patties. Then season each patty with burger seasoning on all sides.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add sliced
mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes. Add sliced onions, Worcestershire sauce,
salt, and pepper to the same skillet. Cook for 7 minutes until the onions are softened.
Remove from the skillet and keep warm on a plate with tin foil over top.
Add patties to the grill. Grill for 8 minutes on one side,
then flip and grill for about 8 minutes on the other side or until cooked
through. Top with a slice of cheese and let the heat from the grill melt
the cheese for the remaining minute.
Remove patties from the grill. Place each patty onto a
brioche bun, and top with sautéed mushrooms and onions. Add another piece of
Swiss Cheese to the top. You can never not have enough Swiss cheese on a hamburger
in my opinion.
Place the top bun on the burger. Serve immediately and
enjoy!
