Classic Ranch Dressing

We are all used to the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix that came in bottle or a packet. Then as a historian, I found the history behind the dressing and decided to use that recipe to make it at home. Interesting enough, the history is pretty ordinary as it was created at a ranch outside of Santa Barbara California by the same name, Hidden Valley Ranch the cook served a dressing that was out of this world and one of the guests asked how it was made. Then it was recreated and bottled, then sold. What I love about this story is that it was created with dried herbs that were harvested on the Ranch.
