thousand island dressing

As you all know, I love history, and couple that with a recipe and I’m all in. This brings me to the history of Thousand Island dressing, believed to have emerged in the early 1900s from the scenic Thousand Islands region along the U.S.-Canada border, and quickly became a summer favorite.

Fishing guide George LaLonde delighted guests with his wife's unique creation during shore dinners.

Actress May Irwin loved it so much that she introduced it at Clayton's Herald Hotel and famously named it!

George C. Boldt of Waldorf-Astoria soon jumped on board, further spreading its fame!
