As you all know, I love history, and couple that with a recipe and I’m all in. This brings me to the history of Thousand Island dressing, believed to have emerged in the early 1900s from the scenic Thousand Islands region along the U.S.-Canada border, and quickly became a summer favorite.

Ingredients
1 teaspoon minced
garlic
2 tablespoons freshly
squeezed lemon juice
½ teaspoon lemon zest
4 tablespoons extra
virgin olive oil
¼ teaspoon yellow
mustard
¼ teaspoon dried
oregano
½ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon freshly
cracked black pepper
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a
glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Or add to a blender and blend on high until
smooth and combined.
Secure in an airtight container
and place in fridge for up to four days.
