Ingredients
⅓ cup (76g) unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup of whole milk (2% milk is fine to use)
¾ cup grated parmesan/Romano
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg optional
Instructions
On medium heat, melt butter in a pan, then sauté the garlic
until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Add the flour and cook it for 1 minute.
Add milk and cream. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2
minutes, then add the parmesan/Romano cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg
Whisk until the cheese is melted and the sauce is thickened.
Toss cooked pasta in the sauce, garnish with chopped parsley
and serve.
