Snowman Bath Bombs DIY

Snowman Bath Bombs DIY

Christmas is right around the corner so why not create a gift that will surely get a laugh and smile – make Snowman Bath Bombs.

Anyone who loves to take a bath loves a bubble bath and would love these little Snowman Bath Bombs as the perfect Christmas gift. Let’s make them and have some fun.

What you’ll need:

1 cup baking soda

½ cup Citric Acid

½ cup Epsom Salt

½ cup Cornstarch

3 tbsp Coconut Oil, Melted

10-20 Drops of your favorite Fragrance or Essential Oil

2 Tbsp Water or Witch Hazel, in Spray Bottle

½ tsp Activated Charcoal Powder

½ Tsp Orange Mice Powder

¼ tsp rubbing alcohol

Rubber Silicone Trays are the best molds to make these in.  See picture below

Decorative gift box (usually Dollar Tree or Dollar General has this type for a dollar. Pick up a box that will fit a minimum of 4 bath bombs in it.

In a large mixing bowl combine baking soda, salt, citric acid, and cornstarch and mix completely until all Is combined. Then melt the coconut oil and stir in the France or essential oil you’ve chosen for your bath bombs. Slowly and carefully combine all wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, be careful not to add to much of the liquid at one time or they will react and start to bubble or fizz. To test if ready to mold, grab a handful of the mixture and try to squeeze it. If it makes a ball perfect, however, if not, add a bit of the water or Witch Hazel in the spray bottle to the mixture and try again. Repeat until you’ve reached the right consistency. The objective here is to have the mixture hold together when compacted and be sure not to get the mixture wet or it will fall apart, and you’ll have to start over.

Fill the mold halfway full and let stand for 24-36 hours to dry completely. After unmolding decorate with eyes, nose, and smile using a small paint brush and the charcoal powder to make the eyes and smile, while using the orange mica powder to make the carrot nose. Take a picture of the finished product and share out with your friends on social media.

Silicone molds can be found at Walmart or on Amazon for about $10.00 a set.
