How to make Brown Sugar at home!

How to make Brown Sugar at home!

Brown sugar is a baking staple in any home with a person who loves cooking and baking. But there are times when you're not thinking and you forget to buy brown sugar. So what do you do, stop what you're doing and run to the store or make it yourself. That's right, make it yourself, it's extremely easy to make brown sugar because it's only two ingredients, sugar, and dark molasses. so let's make some.

Ingredients for Dark Brown Sugar

1.4 cup of White Sugar

1 tablespoon of dark molasses

If you need light brown sugar just substitute the dark molasses with light molasses.

Instructions:

In a bowl combine both ingredients and fold the molasses and sugar together with a spatula until well mixed. I usually use a hand mixer to combine so I'm sure everything is mixed completely well.

Then once the color is what I desire it to be, if it's not dark enough add another 1/2 tablespoon of molasses to the mixture. Then store it in an air-tight container.
