Creole Seasoning

Creole Seasoning Mix

One of the most amazing places to spend any time is New Orleans, Louisiana. Louisiana is filled with descendants of the original Colonial French Louisiana settlers in the area. I absolutely adore the Creole people of Louisiana for their gentle ways, their absolutely amazing cuisine, and their fine taste in music. From the French Coffee of Cafe du monde, to the music of Bourbon Street, to the finery of the old Fan District homes that line the streets under beautiful trees, to the cuisine found at any restaurant in or out of the French Quarter, you'll not be disappointed should you visit this humid, yet wonderful state.  So in celebration of the Creole people and their fine hospitality, try this Creole Seasoning mixture in your rice, meat, soup, or stew recipe; you won't be disappointed.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried basil
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon of white pepper
1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
5 tablespoons paprika
3 tablespoons salt

Mix all together and store in an airtight container. I make a batch of this and label it for future use. Trust me when I say you'll love this mixture.
