When you love seafood as much as I do, you try every recipe known to man for any particular seafood. Shrimp is the most versatile of all seafood because there are tons of recipes that use shrimp. Scampi is the most popular recipe and it's the one I love the most. Let's make it together.
Ingredients:
Butter approximately 4-6 tablespoons
Olive Oil 1-2 tablespoons
Garlic minced 3 cloves or 3 tablespoons of pre-minced garlic
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup white wine
1/4 vermouth
1/2 cup parsley chopped
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large skillet over medium heat melt butter with olive oil then stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Cook shrimp until bright pink and no longer translucent, 2-3 minutes. Transfer shrimp to a plate and keep warm. Add wine to the pan and mix together with butter and garlic for about 1 minute. turn off the heat and let sit for 2 minutes. Return shrimp to pan and toss to coat. Add parsley, salt, and pepper and serve immediately over pasta and serve with garlic bread.
