I love a good gyro, chicken or beef shawarma or any type of Mediterranean
dish that calls for a creamy cucumber sauce. I just love this sauce. It not
only elevates these dishes, but the rich flavors complement the spices
perfectly and enhance every bite. For an authentic experience, try pairing it
with a homemade gyro recipe that will impress your guests!
Ingredients
1 Cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 Cup cucumber, grated or finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon dill weed
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 clove fresh garlic, minced
Instructions:
Peel and deseed the cucumber and chop or grate into fine
pieces. A cheese grater is helpful for this step.
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Serve and enjoy!
